Fairfield Library to show documentary Nov. 15

The library will show a free film on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019. This 2019 documentary film takes a look at the life and work of a particular Italian opera legend.

The documentary opens in the Amazon jungle with the already established tenor insisting on seeing the stage where opera singer Enrico Caruso (also a tenor) once performed. He wants to sing on the same stage where his hero performed.

The documentary then returns to our opera star’s hometown of Modena, Italy, where he was born to a poor middle-class family. His father is a local baker and his mother a housekeeper. The film then tells the opera legend’s story.

Rating: PG-13

Genre: Documentary, Biography, Music

Runtime: 1 hour, 54 minutes
