KEOSAUQUA — Van’s Buren’s offense just can’t get up off the ground this season. The Warriors struggled to score again on Friday night, falling to Davis County on homecoming, 28-0.
It was the Warriors’ second-straight shutout loss. Van Buren scored eight points in their season opener but has yet to find the end zone since.
Quarterback Lane Davis was accurate with the football in the loss. He completed 12 of his 15 pass attempts for 75 yards. Tony Davidson caught eight of those passes for 49.
Cohyn Jury led the Warrior ground game with 66 rushing yards on 12 atetmpts. Conner Helling added 56 yards of his own.
Jury also led the defense with eight tackles. Davis had an interception for the team’s lone takeaway.
Van Buren fell to 0-3 on the season. They’ll travel to Corydon to take on Wayne County this week.
